Services I offer include:

  • Help and advice sourcing and selecting the most suitable fabrics, from the best local fabric stores.
  • Garment and outfit designs and mood boards with suggested fabrics and trims
  • Full body measurements
  • Pattern making
  • Mock ups made for all designer outfits and bridal gowns
  • Professional sewing
  • 2 to 4 fittings and adjustments per outfit

I believe in creating garment aesthetics that are classic, elegant, and minimal, which means relatively simple elegant silhouettes and clean lines.

All appointments are private, one on one sessions. It’s recommended to allow 3-4 months from the first fitting to the last as an ideal timeline to allow for your “oh sew perfect” creation to be completed.

Don’t forget to bring all undergarments, shoes, and accessories to your fittings.

It’s fun and exciting to see how the dress evolves into the perfect fit for you.

Frequently Asked Questions for Elegant Attire Clients

How long do you need to create the ultimate oh sew perfect elegant attire?
  • I like to start 3-4 months before the special event, occasion, or wedding day to ensure we have enough time to complete all fittings and make sure it’s perfect for you. Longer than this can expose us to weight fluctuations that could affect measurements.
How many fittings will I have?
  • Usually 4 fittings in total. It could be more if your gown needs extra attention.
    • Fitting 1: Initial fitting (approximately 1 hour)
    • Fitting 2: Pulling things in, checking hem/sides – this is a major fitting where most of the adjustments are done.
    • Fitting 3: Tweaking the fit, pinning up the bustle, etc.
    • Fitting 4: Final fitting to make sure all is good, and you usually get to take the dress home at the end of this fitting. This is when final payments are expected.
What Items Should I Bring To My Fittings?
  • Under garments, the shoes (if you plan to wear any shoes) and all accessories so you can see the entire look we are creating.
How Is Payment Handled?
  • A 50% deposit is required on acceptance of the quote (before work starts on your personalised creation), and the final payment is expected before or at the final fitting.
